MY NEW STORE!!! Argh!!

Yes that's right, I am announcing my big news. Tracy over at TTS treasurestoscrap.com saw my blog and freebies during this past month with the designer contest and all and she has offered me a designer position with them. So I may not make it at SAS but I was asked to join TTS, so I am grabbing it with both hands and I won't let go LOL.

I have decided to let it go with regards to the contest and accept the fact that the kits that are getting more votes than mine are better than mine, so I am okay with it all. You can still vote for me if you want though LOL.

So onto bigger and better things with TTS and still doing my CTing for TerrellS and Shannon. I will strive to grow as a designer and I hope that you will all support me in my new life as a

Working Designer. I can't believe I just typed that, LOL. I am a WORKING DESIGNER lol. That sounds so good doesn't it!!

Okay so on with the festivities.

Wah! I'm not going too well in the vote

I know it is because I am not as great at this as the girls in the lead. There are some truly awesome kits this week and I am not going as well as I had hoped. I don't know if it is just that they have a lot of family and friends voting and I only have you guys and my hubby to vote for me LOL. It's Here, this weeks Freebie Kit "A Charmed Life!"

Okay I am waiting for it to upload but I'll put A preview up for you and just add the link to the gallery and the goodies once it's up. This week we were let loose with no restrictions as far as theme, colour, size etc. They want us to show what we can do I guess. LOL. So I went a different way and this is what I came up with. Do you like it? I hope so or I'm doomed LOL. I called it

A Charmed Life, for obvious reasons. Come back shortly and I'll have the link up for you so you can go grab this. As for the contestants, well there are 11 left in this final round. I can't imagine how hard it was for people to vote last week, the kits were all awesome and we lost a lot of very talented designers this last vote. I hope they will all continue to design and continue to try for a store, they are sooo talented. Okay here's the previews.

Voting is over Thanks Everyone

I came 7th so we are onto the next and final round. This round is freestyle. so we can do whatever we want as much as we want. So keep an eye out for my kit "A Charmed Life" and when I put the link up make sure you grab it while it is still free. Even if I don't get through and get a SAS store I will be pulling it down on October 2nd as that is the official end of the competition and the downloads at SAS. This is going to be so fun and you will get the opportunity to grab 11 totally different kits. I have no idea how big mine might be but it will be pretty and there's a bit of a hint in the title LOL!!

Okay thanks to all who voted for me and CBaby sorry you missed out on the vote hun!! Try again from monday at 6pm central time, that's 9am Tuesday if you are in Australia East Coast!!

Okay so we are well too by the way, Michael and I. Lots going on and some interesting news coming next week, no it's not to do with the IVF. We are still waiting for the go ahead to start the injectable IVF Drugs on that front. Michael is working hard as usual and everyone else family wise is well and slowly coming to terms with the last 3 months of stress. Well, nothing much else. I hit the 20kg lost milestone. Iwas almost hitting it and would be 1/2 a kilo from it then put on 1kg. This went on for winter pretty much. At least I kept it off and that was all I cared about over winter, when I would usually be putting weight on LOL. So I was saying 20kg but it was more like 19-19 1/2. So now Officially I am 20kg lighter. I still have about 10 - 14kg to go so easy does it. Alrighty, that's it for now, better get back to designing this kit for you all.

Well for some unknown reason the administration at SAS hasn't posted it yet. We are all rather anxious to see it up and available to all of the lovely members supporting this competition. I am in the Designer competition over at SAS and this week our mission was to create a Heritage Kit with a colour palette too. So here it is. you must be a member at SAS to download this kit and the other 20 kit on offer. This is awesome, we are all going through. There was a bit of "Confusion" with the rules in the first challenge so the SAS Administrator has decided that everybody will go through to the next round. We get our next challenge tomorrow, which would probably be tonight my time Hee hee. So Isn't that Cool!! If you didn't get to vote this time, why not run over and join SAS so you can vote next week and you can still download all the kits till the end of the whole competition.

Lest We Forget and Freebie Vote Update

Sadly Michael's Pop Lost his fight with a nasty dose of pneumonia on Tuesday night at 11.45. Pop had Parkinson's Disease too so the fact that he fought this infection for 3 weeks has been incredibly difficult for his family He was a wonderful loving man and we will all miss him terribly. Michael will miss the special connection he had with his Pop and Now has lost all of his grandparents. He will fly down home tomorrow to be with family for the funeral service. My thoughts will be nowhere but with them all at this aweful time. But I am required to stay home and have my IVF Tests so I will be there in spirit only.

I did this layout with a wonderful photo michael's Mum Ila gave him of Pop when he was serving in the war. A very special picture of him and he even has a pen in his pocket, now I know where Michael gained that habit from.

I have to wonder how much of it was of a broken heart at losing his beloved wife. So I did this layout today for them to display when they have the photo collage during the funeral service.
Nan and Pop have lived in seperate Nursing homes for the past 7 years and due to frailty saw eachother seldom, mainly easter, christmas, birthdays etc so in a strange way it is comforting to think that they may be together again at last.

May they both rest in peace, lifelong lovers finally together again.

TOMORROW IS FATHER'S DAY HERE AND I AM MISSING MY DAD TERRIBLY. HE PASSED AWAY SUDDENLY ABOUT IN OCTOBER 03 NOT LONG AFTER FATHER'S DAY SO IT IS DOUBLY HARD FOR ME AT THIS TIME OF THE YEAR.

ON A LIGHTER NOTE, I TURNED 39 YESTERDAY (5TH). IT WAS A QUIET DAY, MICHAEL WAS WORKING SO I SPENT MOST OF THE DAY GETTING MY KIT FINISHED AND THEN SPENT TILL 2.30AM GETTING IT PACKAGED UP AND UPLOADED FOR EVERYONE TO GRAB.

I'D LOVE IT IF YOU THOUGHT MY KIT WAS ONE OF THE BEST AND VOTED FOR IT ON MONDAY (US TIME) SO THAT WOULD BE TUESDAY IF YOU'RE IN AUSSIE LAND LIKE ME! VOTING ENDS THURSDAY AT NOON THEIR TIME SO THAT MEANS 4PM HERE ON FRIDAY. lol

Sigh Father's Day again

Okay I am putting this before yesterday's post so that my promo stays on top lol. 
Well today is Father's Day here in Australia and I have spent the day thinking of Dad and doing this layout with my new kit.

I miss you so much Dad. I actually google him on days like this to see if anyone has posted photos on the web with him in them. So I did that today and this photo came up on Service Pals.com which is a british site for armed forces people to reconnect and reminisce with eachother on. Anyway Dad was a member there and he actually posted this photo, funny how it never came up over the past 4 years when I have googled him. So I was quite taken back by this find and cried seeing his posts that went along in the description of where it was taken etc. this is 1966 so he is only 20 in this photo. just a lad really.
Okay well that's it for today, I'm totally exhausted after the last few days of designing and the mad rush to pack it all up and get it in on time. So I am gonna relax the rest of the day or just do scrapping.
Have a wonderful Father's Day with your families and make the most of them, you never know when they will be spending their last Father's Day with you.
