Well we got 11 eggs, out of that 8 were injected, out of the eight only 3 fertilised. So we will have them put in tomorrow and wait and see!!

There is a heap going on over at TTS this weekend. Its superbowl weekend in the US and what better to do when the fellas are in front of the football than chat and attend an online crop and check out the sales. I have 40% off everything regularly priced at $2.00 or more so you can go wild really!! I also have a challenge over there scrap the season in the opposite hemisphere to where you live and post a link to it in the thread and you'll get this cute posting bonus.

Now onto something that nearly drove me insane this week. When we got home from the hospital after my egg retrieval operation, I went to do something on my computer and my external hard drive wasn't working. It was a western digital 500mg (That would be GB darlin', mg is a measure of weight, AmboHusband) (yeah alright GB, what are you doing editing my posts!!!) elements with a power ac adapter for power. Well the cord died and they apparantly don't make them anymore so I went searching on the web only to find nothing. Eventually came across a whole group of consumers with the same problem and they were rehouseing the hard drive into a new case. So that's what I did and yay I have it back. Now I am copying everything onto a DVD tonight!! I am so slack but I don't ever want to feel like that again.

Good News and Bad

Well the good news is we got 11 eggs out of the 16 follicles and of those 11 eight were good enough to use so in the morning the lab will ring and tell us how many (if any) fertilised, then we can decide how many to have transferred into my womb on Saturday. So it's looking okay on the IVF front so far.

The Bad News. When we got home from the hospital I went to check out some stuff on my computer and discovered the external hard drive's light wasn't on. Oh well the plug must be a bit out. No the whole power cord is fried!!! Argh!!! So mad and mostly at myself, but most of my stuff was on it and now there are things I need for the next few weeks on the sites I host challenges etc at and I can't access them. They sent the cord of to be repaired LOL what a joke, like they are going to repair a cord. They'll just send me a new one. Problem is it will take them up to 5 WEEKS to do it. Not good enough and so we will try and hunt a cord down while we wait.

Okay that's it for me tonight. IVF operation tomorrow so I have to get some sleep. The anaesthetic sleep isn't really sleep, it just makes you more tired LOL. Okay wish us luck, we had 16 follicles according to the nurse today so hopefully we'll get a few eggs out of it. Ones that are good hopefully :)

What's Going On? and another freebie

Well it's all happening here. What a busy time. Next Thursday is my Mum's 60th Birthday, and I wish I could go up to Brissie and see her, I was actually going to go up and surprise her, but SURPRISE!! I can't. We have our egg retrieval on Wednesday and the transfer on Friday so I am stuck. To make it worse I am stuffed full of follicles (which is great!!) but I am so uncomfortable and can't sleep. Good for you guys though cause it means I do more designing and freebies for you. Soo I sent her some gorgeous flowers and a card and will catch up with her later. And Christopher, my little boy, is turning 21 on 15th February. We've had a tough few months with him losing his job and having trouble finding a new one as well as trying to get out of the house he is in. Just can't afford it!! But things are looking up there. So we are going to go down and see him after his birthday. Trying to fit it in so we can both go down. Not an easy feat with a work-a-holic like Mike!! LOL. Plus I have another 60th party on 7th February. Geesh, what a busy time.
I got my new banner from Lisa Kane and it's rockin'!!! Don't you love what she's done with it!!
It's been high 30's here temperature wise and very hard to sleep, besides feeling like a beached whale and waking up soaked in sweat, Yuck!! Hopefully we'll get a southerly change later today to cool it down a little.

It's Australia Day on Monday. So we have a long weekend. Not that it makes much difference when you work from home and your hubby is a shiftworker but there it is!!
