Crash!!!!

I had a reasonably serious accident on my bike today. I was turning at a roundabout and thought that the person in the front car opposite me wouldn't know what I was going to be doing so I changed to my left hand and went to indicate to the right, at a reasonable speed and whammo!! I must have pressed the brake with my right hand at the same time and I flipped over the handlebars and onto the road. Aweful, stuff. And I was so sore and crying to Michael to get me off the road!! It's a bit busy at that time of day when the schools are letting the kids out and there were several cars driving around me, scary!! Michael said I was sort of intertwined with the bike so he wanted to make sure my leg was okay before he got me out from the bike and over to the sidewalk. Michael said 3 guys stopped to help, two in cars and one that had been jogging along, thank you so much to all three of you!!! I only remember the man who helped Michael hold me up as I went hazy and apparantly fainted!!! That's a first for me sigh!! I just remember feeling sick and then like I was dreaming and then lying on the ground and Michael calling my name, freaky really!!! Then they laid me on the sidewalk and Michael checked my injuries. A very sore double scrape to my right arm around the elbow and a little one on the other elbow and matching scrapes on both my knees. I will have a super bruise on my right thigh , the full length of it, very pretty sigh!! Oh well I am very sore but very glad that there was no car involved. I had my self pity cry after we got home and I was all bandaged up and starting to get over the shock. I actually rode some of the way back home simply because I just wanted to get home, I got a few looks from people as I rode along with my skint knees and elbow I can tell you LOL. Well I can laugh now LOL.



And just to let you know our internet is back on broadband, yay!! They actually gave us a new modem!! I think they were just sick of having to fix it for us LOL. So that's all good.



Oh and before he patched me up I handed Michael the camera to get some pics of my injuries to scrap my major stack!!!

Okay I'm gonna go as I'm starting to get a sore elbow again with all the typing, lucky it was my left elbow and I can still do most computer stuff!!

Woo Hoo, look at my Swish New Bike!

Isn't Michael just the Best Husband?

My old bike which, by the way, I have only had for about 4 months, was dying already. I don't know if it is because it had to support my Hefty frame or what but the gears had died, I only had the middle range. And I was forever getting punctures and breaking bits of it. So we decided I should Upgrade!!

My Trek is "24" Speed and has groovy gear change levers plus super braking system, Metal Pedals and a comfy seat!

Here's a layout I did and I did it with all my own elements and papers, I used the commercial use kit from Shannon Fahrnbach to create these elements and I worked out how to do patterns and made papers too.

Also you may notice that I updated the look of the blog. Thought it was time for a change.

Okay well I'm off to bed now. I am off to Centennial Park tomorrow for a bike ride on my own. Michael's bike is being serviced. I'll let you know how I go, LOL!!

Okay So I've been Lazy!!!

You know how it is, I have had an inspiration drought
these last few days and Michael has been off and home
so I tend to feel a little guilty if I spend every minute
on the computer when he's home LOL. Mind you a lot of
the time he is studying too, so there ya go!!! Even!!

Well If you want a freebie run over to TerrellS blog and
grab a QP or two, she has posted 8 so far so better be
quick LOL.

Alright well I am going okay with the Weight Watchers so
far, actually I am finding it quite easy but then I haven't
had to go out to eat or supress my Chocoholic fantasies of
late LOL. So the big test will probably come when I am in
Melbourne, I know that I will not have to worry when i am
at my Mum's as she is always eating healthy so it should be
smooth sailing there and she walks almost every day too, so
I will actually have company LOL. No, Michael doesn't come
along with me on my walks LOL. I was a bit peeved today as
I got a little not from the PO letting me know we had a package
there and so I decided I would walk so I did. It's the right
distance for my walk so that will be my walk out of the way for
the day LOL. Little did I know until I got there that they are the
only PO in the whole of Sydney that isn't open on Saturday
morning. GRRR. Anyway so I didn't have to worry about the walk
being broken. LOL.
So that's that, I am hoping for a great loss on Monday when I
weigh Myself. I have a good feeling LOL.
And I don't know if it is just in my mind but I feel like I've lost
weight LOL.
